Laura Hull, Ministry Team Leader

Laura began her journey with InterVarsity as a student at Occidental College. The InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Chapter at Oxy introduced Laura to the idea of a relationship with Jesus. She gave her life to Him as a Freshman and became a student leader with the movement as a junior. After graduation she interned with InterVarsity for a year but felt invited to explore the field of social services and served as a social worker with the senior and disabled community in Los Angeles.  After almost 10 years of work in Social Work, Laura returned to InterVarsity to work as a Campus Staff Minister at Cal State Los Angeles. She has been on IV staff serving at CSULA for the past 9 years and is now the team leader for the ministry.  

Laura met her husband Chris at Oxy. They both served as leaders in the IV community, and began dating their junior year. They got married in 2005 and live in El Sereno, the community that CSULA is located in. Chris is bi-vocational and works in student services and serves as the Associate Pastor at their church- Hope Community Church of East LA. In 2012 they welcomed their daughter Sophia, who has been on campus welcoming students with her mom since she was 1 1/2 years old.  Sophia loves the beach, the pool and her dog Pau.
